Enable Logging

If you are experiencing problems with launching the game, please do the following to enable logging. This will assist you in tracking down the specific issue.

  1. Go to your installation directory (default is c:\program files\firaxis games\Sid Meier’s Civilization 4\)
  2. Double click the file _Civ4Config
  3. Set LoggingEnabled = 1


Where can I find my log files

These files can be found in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Logs\

The most important file is the init.log file.
